The
Growth Circle
From the
microscopic sperm of conception
to the embryonic placental environment,
x-some pounds and x-some ounces travel
out of the vaginal track into a burst of bright light.
From that moment on, progression is slow
as limbs begin their extension and as body fleshes outward.
Vessels and organs expand with time
in a manner indicating proper development.
From the childhood years which morph into adolescence
then into adulthood, the body’s speed accelerates
through middle age and into geriatric stages.
From those years of immortal perception
to mortality flickers of reality
the growth of one traverses a multitude of changes
as expansions of body, mind and soul
prepare to once again encounter that burst of bright light.
